Hello. Write to the White County Historical Society, PO Box 537, at Searcy, Arkansas 72145.
They do a quarterly newsletter that goes all over the United States.
If you will write it up in a somewhat postive manner as you want people to read it, they will run it for you in their newsletter.
You might be better off to just say the family of Homer Smith, Myrtle Essigner and Edmonds if he lived in the county and forget the other.
If someone recognizes the names, they will probably already know the story. That would probably be your best bet on finding anything.
Lots of people left White County and headed north for work back during the 20's and 30's. Times were very hard and there was not much for them to do in the way of work.
My daddy's cousins took off for California to keep from starving to death in Arkansas and that is the complete truth.
Good luck.
