Jerri -- the question I had concerned a possible pre-1900 epidemic in the Woodruff/Jackson Co. areas of Arkansas. I'm very familiar with the later, more wide-spread 1918 Spanish flu. My grandfather lost at least six children and his wife if some kind of catastrophe in Arkansas. Thanks for your time and effort but I had all the census data. I need to know something about the local conditions in pre-1900 Wodruff/Jackson area. If you could find that info it would be a real feather in your cap. Thanks.
