This all sounds very familer. I have been told a story about Maria Manuela Chaves, her nick name "Rosalito". Her parents are suppose to be Manuel Juan (Ambrocio) ARAGON and her mother was Maria Antonia Ballejo Vallejo. I'm not sure if her father was her real father because of the stories of Rosalito having some Apache Indian blood in her.
I was told that her husband to be was Romualdo Mares and he worked on a ranch in or near Santa Rosa and traded horses with the Apache indians and that is how he met and married her.
I know that stories can get mixed up after generations of telling them but does this sound familer to anyone else?
I am trying to figure out if this Rosalito really did have Apache Indian blood or if the stories over the years have grown and grown.
