Hello, I would recommend as another source the book "Las Capitalistas, Hispano Merchants and the Santa Fe Trade" by Susan C. Boyle. She mentions a lot of names of Hispanic merchants. I have some information that one or more of my ancestors traveled on the Santa Fe Trail, I believe they might have been freighters who worked out of Fort Union.
