Hello, My name is Robert Arce
My family originally came to Baja California from the Villa de Sinaloa in the mid to late 1700s.I’ve been trying to find a Sinaloa connection for years with no luck. Would you happen to know when your family came over to Baja California?
Here is my family lineage in Baja:
1650 Villa de Sinaloa?- Francisco de Pereda y Arce
1736 Villa de Sinaloa - Sebastian Contantino de Arce y Lopez
1764 La Purisima - Ignacio Marie de Arce y Espinosa
1804 La Purisima - Miguel de Arce y Romero
1834 Mulege - Ysidoro de Arce y Gonzalez
1863 Mulege - Crisostomo de Arce y Higuera
1897 El Rosario - Jesus de Arce y Collins
1934 San Vicente - Ernesto de Arce y Fernandez
The name after the “y” is the mother maiden name.
I’m looking for information on Francisco de Pereda y Arce. He was a ships Captain that sailed along the Baja peninsula and up the California coast and possibly between the Villa de Sinaloa and Baja in the late 1600’s.
