Sorry it's a little late with an answer (we still have betamax over here) but there are Archards aplenty in my wife's tree. It should be possible to view it on Ancestry.com in the Benson Family tree. If you don't subscribe then I'll give a quick summary.
Alfred's father Edwin was born in Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire in 1833. Sarah Ann Gale his first wife was born in Avebury, Wilts in 1829. They had 8 children 5 girls 3 boys. Alfred was child no 4. He was born in (West)Overton, Wilts
