This could be the break that I've been waiting for!!
Do you know if your Ardel family had any Huguenot background? My gr-gr-gr-grandmother Rebecca (Carry)Ardiel was descended from a Huguenot family who came to Ireland from France!
Also, do you know of a Parish or town named Londontown in the area of Nenagh? On most writings that I see of the Ardiel family history, the birth place is given as Tipperary and Londontown.
The birth date that I have for my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, Leonard Ardiel is 1773. He died 16 July 1843 in London Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario and is buried at St. Paul's cemetery at Arva, Ontario. That is not far from Lucan where your Elizabeth and Charles were. Bidulph Twp would be next north to London!
