I don't know much about my family history, but I do know that my ancestors are supposed to be from Tipperary, Ireland and that they emigrated to the London, Ontario area in the mid-1800s. The only name that I can remember for sure is John Ardiel; he was either one of the first immigrants or of the first generation born here. I think I've also heard that I'm related distantly to Ardiels in B.C. (the Okanagan Valley, I think). The name has been changed a lot because on copies of old censuses I've seen the name was spelled differently each time (Ardeil, Ardell, Ardill, I think were some of them). A relative of mine (who I've never met) did a lot of research into our genealogy and compiled all her research into a book for the family.
