I don't have the info on Leonard and Rebecca. I'm struck by how these first names (including Esther) are popular in the Jewish community.

I wonder if the Ardiel family is decendant of the Spanish Inquisition refugees. There is a river in Portugal called "Ardilo" (or Ardila?) Persecuted Jews were forced to convert...took last names of, eg. a place name.

Just a thought.
