There is a possibility that your Great Grandmother, Clara Louise Ardrey was the sister in law of my my g.g.aunt, Annie Ainslie Currie who married a John Robert Tooth Ardrey. His mother was named Maria Tooth Ardrey, her maiden name was Larkings Tooth, she married John Ardrey b. in Tonbridge, Kent in 1835. Both were Basket Makers,
I wondered if the photo you have, taken by a Liverpool photographer, shows Clara or any of her family? I would love to see it if is possible. Annie Ainslie Ardrey was found on the 1901 census for Barrow in Furness living with her married daughter Mildred Smith.
Incidentally the name Tooth was kept but just shows up as a T after the Christian name of John T Ardrey.
