Our George retained the "E" when his surname was anglicized...Our George Ergenbright m. in 1788 in Rockingham Co., VA to Anna Baer. They moved to OH by 1814, and they were living in 1820 in German Twp., Montgomery Co., OH. Before 1830 George and Anna moved with children's families to Bartholomew Co., IN, where George died in 1834 and Anna after 1840. Known children include Jacob, who died in Rockingham Co., VA in 1847; Elizabeth, wife of William Cox (She d. 1833 Bartholomew Co., IN.); Christina, wife of Jacob Ammon of Rockingham Co., VA; Anna, wife of Andrew Cox; and John who died in 1871 Montgomery Co., KS.
