Terry, I'm not related to the Argenbrights (as far as I know), but wanted to share a little information with you. I make historical reproductions of Confederate wooden canteens and one day came across a canteen inscribed by M.W.D. Argenbright. This canteen is in a private collection in Gettysburg. I repaired it for the present owner and took several photos of it in order to make reproductions of it. The canteen is presently on display in his shop in Gettysburg. You will also find Merideth's Confederate Pension application at the following url located at the Library of Virginia. http://ajax.lva.lib.va.us/F/H6JHN8VKALBCDVUE1ENKLFBBIJVYQCA3BNSRBRP2ETA1SH6YIR-03244?func=full-set-set&set_number=004832&set_entry=000006&format=999
I hope some of this information is helpful, and if you would like a copy of the canteen photo's, I'll be more than happy to forward them to you. Regards, Wes Stokes
