Hello Fred ,
This might be a very long shot , but here goes ,, lol .
I'm looking for the father of Fred Franklin Arnette . I know that the spelling of the surname can be of different ways . They are from NC/SC area . Fred Franklin was born in 1907 . I sent for Fred's social security papers and it shows that his fathers name was also Fred Franklin , but my mother said that she doesn't believe so as her father wasn't a Jr. She believes his name might be a Frank . HUMmmm ,, things really get confused with his original ss papers as it states that his mothers maiden name was JACKSON when everyone in the family knew her maiden name as Martisha MOORE . The papers also had his father's name spelled ARENETTE but HIS spelling of his last name was ARNETTE . I was told by my mother that they believe they were SCOTT/IRISH , but as we all know , this is subject to change . lol !
I read this forum and found a funny posting of SOME ARNETTE's are country-ish and not coming from the higher class French connection . lol !!! I know that some would like to think that they all originate from kings and queens and don't fathem a rogue family member or two in the mix , but I believe that maybe I'm one of those country-ish ARNETTE's and don't have a problem with this . I just want to trace my lineage , where ever it may lead . lol !
If you could steer me in a possible direction , I would be very grateful .
Thanks in advance ,
Donna Lucas (also in Michigan )
