Fred I was very excited to read your email. My family also spells our name with one T and we also came from Alsace Lorraine, France. My father is Peter Arnet, he is in Florida. His father was Travis and his father was Michael. There is a Travis Arnet that I believe was our first Arnet in the United States who I believe came to NY and fought in the Civil War on the yankee side but I have yet to look up records to confirm this. Our family were milliners in NYC in the early 1900s. I would be very interested in emailing more with you to see if our trees connect.
