Just to update my ARON line on the off chance that I
eventually tie in with another ARON line somewhere
down the line. I've now traced my ARON ancestors back
to Unna, Westfalen, Prussia (now Germany) around
1760-1763. If anybody has any ARON ancestors from
this general vicinity (close to Dortmund and
Dusseldorf, Germany), I'd be glad to trade info.
Again, my line is Catholic (at least as far back as
the mid 1700's) as I've traced them through Catholic
church records. I plan to rent the FHL films for Unna
in hopes of tracking the line even further back. The
Unna Catholic Church records go back to the early
1600's, so I may be able to get a few more generations
back from where I'm at now. If the family came to
Unna from somewhere else in that time frame, I will
update this entry. Thanks.
