Hi Michael,

This is what I have on Levi Arrowood:

Arrowood, Pvt Levi
b. May 25, 1821 in USA
d. Dec. 31, 1905 in USA

Pvt Levi Arrowood* Civil War *Levi Arrowood CSA

Levi Arrowood was the husband of Martha "Jane" Arrowood. Possible children of Levi Arrowood and Martha "Jane" Arrowood were Lafayette Wilson Arrowood, Grayson Levi Arrowood, Martha Arrowood Bruner, Joe A. Arrowood, John Lee Arrowood, Lizzie Arrowood Dixon, Mary Jane Arrowood Hogan, and William D. Arrowood.

*Civil War*Side: Confederate Regiment State/Origin:
North Carolina Regiment Name: 58 North Carolina Infantry. Regiment Name Expanded: 58th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry Company: F Rank In: Private Rank In Expanded: Private Rank Out: Private Rank Out Expanded: Private Enlistment Date: 6 Oct 1863 Enlistment Place: McDowell County, North Carolina Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 6 October 1863 at the age of 42. Enlisted in Company F, 58th P. Rangers Infantry Regiment North Carolina on 6 Oct 1863. *Info. Roster 58th N.C. Carolina Infantry - Levi Arrowood - Co. F. Enl. on 10/6/63 at Marion. AWOL from 10/21 to 12/22/63, court-martialed, sentenced to forfeit 1 month's pay. Pres., thru 8/31/64. Res. McDowell Co.*(My guess would be that this Levi Arrowood was the son of Zachariah Arrowood (b. abt 1792 in N.C.) and possibly Anna Arrowood as being Levi's mother. Also, my guess would be that this Levi was possibly a brother to David Ard (that was born in N.C. abt 1782, but later moved to Alabama.) My guess is that the surname "Ard" was from the surname "Arrowood". David Ard then had a son, named Zachariah Ard b. about 1831 in Alabama d. 1909 in Florida. Zachariah Ard had moved to Florida and with serving in the Civil War. It appeared he (Zach Ard) became the owner of lots of property in Northern Florida.)

*Also, possibly the following marriage record would be of the parents of Zachariah Arrowood as being married in Lincoln Co., N.C.

Name: Zacharias Arrowood
Spouse: Elisabeth Commins
Marriage Date: 29 Jan 1786
Marriage County: Lincoln
Joseph A. Arrowood (1850 - 1930)*
William Decatur Arrowood (1855 - 1925)* Spouse: Martha Jane Arrowood (1832 - 1912)        Arrowood Cemetery Glenwood (McDowell County) McDowell County, North Carolina, USA
