Responses to a post last year more than suggested that black Arterberrys merely adopted the name of their slave master and therefore cannot possibly be related to white Arterberrys by blood. I've researched the Arterberry family for three years and find little evidence of Arterberry slave ownership. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
