Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the Asbill family information you have posted on the GenForum. I have been working of and on with the family for a couple of years, so it was nice to find
your data to compare with what I had complied. I have a couple of questions
though if you don't mind perhaps you can clear up my confussion.
In the 1860 Edgefield Census, Ridge section there are two intries that confuss me. One is for M. B. (Malachi B.) Asbell age 25 m with Susan (Susan E. Bodie) age 22 female. Two daughters are listed with them: Ida age 2 and Lula age 5/12. Marriage records I found show M. B. and Susan E. Bodie were married June 25, 1857. The second listing is for A. B. (Abner Burdette) Asbell age 30 male with wife N. C. (Nancy
Cromwell Mitchel) age 24 two children: L. G. B. a 4 year old male an M. V. a 2year old female.
I haven't been able to find out any more about Abner B. Asbell as to when he died. Did he marry Nancy Cromwell Mitchell first and then when perhaps Abner and Susan died Malachi B. Asbell married her? She is
buried beside Malachi B. Asbell along with Lula Asbell 1859-1927.
I have a few other questions I would like to ask but will wait to see if you get this message and see if you mind me asking
questions about it. I have a lot of cem. information I will be happy to share
with you on this family if you are interested.
E-mail message I sent you came back as error so I will post this.
Hope to hear from you soon.....Karon at firstname.lastname@example.org
