Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Kevin,

I am assuming that you are grandson of David Asbell, longtime educator in the Rosiclare area. If so, I can fill you in on the extensive family connections. David's grandparents were Asanith Collier and John Asbell. I am descended from "Aunt Seenie"'s brother John Collier and John Asbell's sister, Susan Asbell so we're twice cousins. Unfortunately, we are all stuck at John and Susan Asbell's parents, Mariel Asbell and Susan Potts and can't get any farther. There are several researchers working on this and you'll find extensive family still in Pope and Hardin Counties. Email me and I'll get you started.
