dont know if i can help but get on the site about wm azbell. that is were the indian comes in. my greatgrandmom was elizabeth azbill. her father was joe. she was born in pulaski co,ky in 1846. it seems most people of that era with this particular spelling of azbill lived in jackson co. my greatgrandmoom elizabeth lived in jackson co. among my family names are becknell, richardson, cox and isaacs. my uncle vernon richardson married laura azbill but no children, they must have been cousins to some degree. as yet i havent been able to really link elizabeth with the joseph asbell which i think may have been her grandfather. she was obviously of indian ancestry. her son, my grandfather, burrett richardson was also obviously indian. i think there was lots of inbreeding with the jackson co families, so we are all related i think to some degree. dont know if any of this is useful but it certainly is interesting!
