Ms. Douglas

Thank you very much for responding. It appears that the Cherokee indian was more prominent in our family than I realized. Has anyone heard of an area by the name of "Deer stables" in Jackson or Rockcastle? There appears to have been a fight between settlers of that area and the cherokee. If anyone knows anymore about this would they please respond? I would really like to find the area known as "Deer stables" if at all possible.

Thank you so much.
Steve Johnson
