Aaron Asbill - To Carolyn Azbill

On one of your posts you have a poem written by Aaron, saying he lived in Aikentown. I am interested in the date of the correspondence. Aiken, SC (20 miles from Ridge Spring and much larger) was named for William Aiken (1806-1831) in 1835. So how could Aaron, who died in 1813, refer to Aikentown, when the area wasn't even named yet and the person it was named for was only 7 years old when Aaron died? If the date on the correspondence is previous to Aaron dying in 1813, you may have information to change SC history. I know you disperse lots of information and I truly appreciate your time and effort in maintaining this forum, so I am hesitant to ask you to look something up, but this would be extremely important information to the state of SC.
