Ethelda Henry who was the daughter of George Bennett spent countless hours trying to correct the information that was published by her father. After her death her husband donated all of her research to the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo. You can see an index of the material at http://www.system.missouri.edu/whmc/invent/henry.htm
You can e-mail the Western Historical Society at Columbia and they will copy and mail you any of the information that might interest you. They charge a small fee for the copies. There is a ton of paper in the research material and a lot of it is not worth much.
