Based on your post, you have obviously seen the materials in the Columbia, MO library. By any chance do you remember a letter from Aaron to his relatives in NC, with a poem about Aikentown.

It seemed the letter was referenced in either the Bennett or the Asbell Connections book, which I read on Saturday at the South Carolinian Library. Carolyn Azbill also posted the poem on this forum. The thing is, the dates don't jive. Aaron was "dead and gone" by the time Aiken, SC was named.

Please let me know if you remember or don't remember seeing the letter. I wanted to get your feedback before I ordered a folder from Columbia,MO, which may contain information I'm not interested in.
