Look at the spelling variation that has happened since the Asbells left North Carolina(or stayed).
We've got Azbills, Asbells, and Asbills.
I think if I could have one "genie wish" it would be to ask my ancestor, why he, his siblings, and his cousins decided to start spelling the name "Asbill" instead of "Asbell" in the mid 1800s.
I assume the Y-DNA means I can't participate, since I'm a XX.
