Teresa please let me know if any of the following information alines with what you know about James and Minerva's family:

Rusia born 1880 and died 1966, she was married to Isaac Crane.

Delia born 1883 twin, married to Joseph Koerner.

Dovie born 1883 twin to Delia, married to Sidney Van Winkle.

Winfred born 28 August 1884 in Madison Co., Kentucky. He married Pearl Ethen Azbill in 1907. Winfred died on 17 October 1918, in Barnett Twp., DeWitt Co., Illinois. He and Pearl had five children: Estella, Ralph (my grandfather), Retha, Freda, and Emma whom he never saw, dying several months before her birth. Winfred also had a twin that died at or shortly after birth, there seems to be some confusion on his name, I have it as either Webster or Swinfred.

I see you have an earlier birth date for Dovie and I am sure that yours is correct, my source for most of this information is rather shakey.

James Robert Gentry was born 13 October 1861 and married Minerva Asbell on 28 February 1878 in Estill Co., Kentucky. The couple is listed in the 1880 Federal Census of Coyle, Jackson Co., Kentucky with Rusia age 5 months. James deserted Minerva and their children and is supposed to have remarried, settled in Indiana and had nine more children. I have never found any record of this. What became of Minerva, I do not know except that I found a Minerva Asbell b. 1 January 1856 buried in Waynesville, DeWitt Co., Illinois. James was the son of David Robert Gentry and Mary Ellen Gentry and Minerva the daughter of James Asbell and Paulina Bicknell.
