Deshazo or Desaussure in Edgefield, SC?

Hi.
Im researching Francis "Fannie" Asbill b1802. Ive heard that a book by Bennett on the Asbill family (thats wrong on points) has stated that she was a Desaussure. One of the proofs seems to be a receipt from her future husband Jarvis Asbill to a Robert Deshazo, but they wrote Desaussure in parenthesis. The problem Im having is that there WAS a Robert Deshazo living there, and Deshazo and DeSaussure are two separate families.
Has anyone else researched this line? Does anyone know if a Deshazo had a daughter named Francis "fannie"?
Thanks!
