Twila, Really do appreciate all help and information in my direction. After a great deal of searching that is the only family that seems to meet the facts as I know them, which are darn few. I was really hoping that Gregg could share some information with me but have not heard from him. I know of none of her siblings. Only that she married Joseph Stone, and they had Ellen, Ada May, Nathan, and Alfred. I'm sure that there were others. I was told that we had some Cherokee in us-those mongoloid charateristics would account in all probability for my teeth. My grandmother said that their children, even the girls were over 6 ft. The few pictures I have of Alfred certainly show him to be quite a tall man. That about sums up what I know. I do think your idea of her being named for her mother is a good one. The thought had occurred to me. If you place her in that family it would seem to make her the oldest girl and that very well could be. We still name our oldest girls for their mothers-I'm so named! Thanks again for your help. Any suggestions on where to turn now? I'm just feeling really frustrated. My family would really like to know more about their lineage and history. We have so little to go on. Thanks!
