So this is how I think this confusion sorts out:
Isham Ash (the elder whom we have no dates on)and wife Mariah Chavis Ash (daughter of James "Jim" and Rebecca Chavis)have a son also named Isham.
The son Isham married Emily Ann Gleaton. Emily was daughter of another Mariah Chavis who married Thomas Gleaton, SR.
So Isham the son had a mother named Mariah Chavis Ash and a mother-in-law named Mariah Chavis Gleaton.
Clear as mud!! LOL
Can someone please clarify if this is not correct.
