You must be a second cousin of my grandmother who grew up on the farm in Minard where Gregory Peck's grandmother was born. My grandmother's grandmother (Mary Ashe) was the only member of her immediate family who stayed in Ireland. Her two older sisters emigrated to Australia and all of her other siblings (including Gregory Peck's grandmother (Catherine Ashe) and her mother and father moved to the United States. They must have been very difficult times in Ireland.

Am just starting out on my research into my family tree. I would be interested to know if you have done much research. Are we related to Thomas Ashe (who died in 1917) and if so how?

Get in touch.

Claire (McCarthy)
