Everywhere I search I seem to come up with
your "Ashing" family. My family are Full Blooded Chippewa Indians from the Minnesota's White Earth Reservation. My father is
John Ashing Jr (Born 1938). His father was
John Ashing (Born 1882). His father was
Charlie Ashing. and his father was
Charlie (Ashing) Annawaush. I found some American Indian Records and found a Mary Rose Annawaush (Born 1873) relating to my GGgrandfather.
Other names associated (Full Blood Chippewa)
are Frank & Anna Burdick (Born 1893 & 1900), Mary Durant, Elsie Portz.
GGGgrandfather may be Ke-Che-A-Ne-Waush.
Mary Rose's Indian name is Sah-Gwon-Dug
