Hi!
I'm searching for information about the Duncan family extending from John Duncan (b. 2 Jan. 1780 d. 1862).
He was married to an Elizabeth ______. They had a son William Elliott Duncan (b. 28 Oct. 1816 d. 17 Oct. 1866), who married Martha Ann Maxwell (b. 21 May 1827 d. 2 Nov. 1872) the 16th of March, 1841.
William Elliott and Martha Ann Maxwell Duncan's son Allen Grant Duncan was my g-g-grandfather.
I would like to know the following, if possible:
Where John and Elizabeth Duncan were born and/or lived while married.
Elizabeth Duncan's maiden name.
The names of John Duncan's parents and grandparents, and any other information relating to their lives.
Other relatives (names and dates): brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. 1st and second wives/husbands ...
As well as any other information that might prove enlightening.
I am hoping that someone from this forum might have some knowledge of this man and his family, and wouldn't mind awfully sharing it with me. I know very little about the Duncan ancestry, only what I've written above.
