I've researched Robert Ashman\Ashmun's family in town records. There's no marriage record for this couple. They were probably married about 1684. Hope Carpenter participated in the final distribution of Robert's estate in Feb 1707, along with the other sons-in-law. Mary was the youngest daughter of Robert and Katharine. Note that the name is spelled "Ashmun" in the records of Hope Carpenter's probate and in Nathaniel Denton's will (he was another son-in-law). Believe me, nobody ever spells it ASHMUN by accident!! LOL
