I am interested in your Frederick line. My ggrandfather is a Frederick Ashman b. about 1885. He had a son with a Louisa Schumacher and when my grandpa Samuel was born his father was not around. So, ggrandma Louisa gave him the Schumacher name at birth. Then sometime in the 1940s I believe grandpa Samuel got to know his father Frederick and he changed his last name to Ashman. My grandpa Samuel was b. 6-30-1908. He married a Thelma Copeland. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. I would very much so like to learn about the Ashman line. My mother is Karen Rae Ashman. We recently lost our beloved Vivian Charlene Schumacher. She lived in Rockford, Ill. Please let me know if you have any info on this Frederick line. Sincerely, Margaret Grooms...
