I trace my Ashman line back to George Ashman, who died in 1699 in Pennsylvania. I don't know from where he emigrated however. He was married to Elizabeth Trahearne Cromwell in 1685. Their son was John Ashman, 1686-1737,who married Constance Wilmott. John & Constance's son was George Ashman, b. 11/8/1714, m. Jemima Murray 12/9/1736. Their son was also George, 5/20/1740-1812. This George's daughter Sarah Ashman 1765-1803, is where I lose the Ashman name in my history. But I'm grateful to have this much information. Of course, more is always better. Please write if we share any overlaps.
Lynn
