The Askin Papers is a two volume set of published and annotated correspondence of Askin related to his commerce in the Great Lakes area. They correspondence was a small part of the Burton Historical Collection which I think may possibly be housed in the Detroit Public Library now...I'm not sure. I have seen a copy of the Askin Papers at the Los Angeles Public Library in the genealogy section in L. A., California, and I've seen a copy of the Askin Papers at the historical library at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana.
