Found your inquiry in <Genealogy.com>. My family tree is "Askine"
-- changed (during immigration?) from "Erskine". My father was
Irvin Askine (No middle name), from Nebraska. Here's what I have
so far:

My father: Irvin Askine, b. 2-28-1892, d. 5-30-1968
His father: William Duncan Askine, b. 7-3?-1858, d. 7-11-1924
His father: William Askine, b. 5-14-1831, d. 10-18-1858
His father: William Askine, b. @ 1804.

That's about as far back as I've been able to go. Let me know if
any of this connects with your family tree!
