Susan,

I show Rev. George W. Athey b.1829 OH, as the son of Thomas Athey and Mary Polly Covey. He is married to Mariah Amlin b.1832 OH. In the 1880 census, they are living in Washington Co., OH. Their children are listed as, Anna M. Athey b.1854, Occ. Seamstress, Henry F.(?) Athey b. 1857, Occ. School Teacher, Mary G. Athey b.1859, Samuel W. Athey b.1863, Ulyssis C. Athey b.1869, George C. Athey b.1873 and Elbert M. Athey b. 1879.

Mariah's widowed mother, Mariah A. Amlin b.1811 NY is also living with them.

George's widowed mother Mary (Covey) Athey b.1805 NY is shown living in the household of his brother, Charles Quincy Athey b.1827. Occ. Farmer, Washington Co., OH.

Daughter Anna, is also listed in the census for the same year, across the Ohio river in Wood Co., WV, as a live in Sewing Girl for the Samuel Dorman household.

Henry's middle initial may just be a census error, but if this doesn't work out there is another Henry Athey b.1856 to Thomas and Sabina Athey in Urbana, Champagne Co., OH.

Good Luck, Paul
