Alexander Athey b 1857, atty, IA, WI, NE

"Judge" Alexander Athey of Prairie du Chien, WI wrote an unpublished Athey genealogy manuscript, last known to be in the hands of Ruth (Mrs. Ralph) Cushman of Wichita, KS (DAR, Mayflower). Anybody know where that manuscript is now? I have many shreds of info on Alexander Athey, but need to fill in blanks, sort out conflicts, and complete the puzzle. Alexander may have been the biological child b 1857 IA to James Washington Athey (son of Judson Wm. Athey) and Sarah Catherine Brown, or he may have been adopted by them bef 9 Aug 1860. Seeking info on Alexander, wife Mary C. "Minnie" Cummings (b. WI of Irish fa, English mo), dau Catherine or Katherine (b. NE, librarian at Mus Nat Hist in NYC), sons Robert D. (b. WI, served WWI, md Ida Bennett of Neenah, WI, moved to NYC bef 1930) and Matthew J. (b. WI, prob died in teens). Kindly contact at atheyfiles@yahoo.com
