John W Athey - served in Civil War from Ohio

I have recently obtained a photo of John W. Athey, who served in the 77th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.

I don't know John W.'s ancestry, but I think he may be the son of Henry A. ATHEY and Sarah L. BRUNSON. My records indicate this John W. was born circa 1843 and died during the Civil War.

I would love to be able to email this photo to a descendant of his. It is a real treasure. Please let me know if you are related and I will send it to you.

By the way, in addition to the photo of John W., there were two other Atheys who served in the same infantry division and for whom I have photos: Charles W. Athey and James L. Athey. I will send copies to anyone interested. I am posting individual notices for each man.
