Kathy, I've looked through the information I have from a friend who lives in Ireland. He spent a good deal of time researching Atkin lines.Most references to Walter Atkin originate in County Cork. However I did find a George Atkins son of William, Gorey, Co. Wexford and(Mother)Eliza Barnett who was a member of Kings Inn Society (basically Irelands Law School of the Day) in 1865. Probably related somehow to the Cork Atkins.Sorry couldn't help more.
