Hi. I have an Atkin family living in Cheshire.
My great grandfather Joseph Atkin born Over Cheshire
in 1850.
He was the son of William Atkin born (I think) Whittingham
Joseph was a labourer and gardner in the area,

Joseph married

MaryAnn Sant c, 1876
Mary Ann was from Middlewich.
They lived first in Regent Street Moulton and they later lived at Firth Fields Davenham.
their children were;-
Isaac born 1876
Martha 1879 my grandmother
Joseph born c. 1881 died c 1882 buried at Davenham St. Wilfreds.
Mary Ann died 1929 at Davenham. She was a caretaker at Davenham Schools and was the lady known as Granny Atkin in the recently published book by Ellen Osborne.
Joseph died 1935 at Castle Northwich. Buried Davenham.

Iknow no more about the Atkin family. Who Williams wife was I do not know or even if Joseoph had any siblings.

Would love to hear from anybody who thinks that they may be linked top my family.

Kind Regards
Ann Brown
