Jeremiah Atteberry/Alice Logan

The 1870 census of White Co., IL shows a 2-year-old boy named Jeremiah as the son of Aaron Atteberry and Sarah (Whitsett). Though I have no proof, other sources have told me that this Jeremiah is the one who later married Alice Logan, and the two of them became trapeze artists with (I think) Barnum and Bailey. They had at least two children.
I have searched census indexes from 1900 - 1930 using every spelling I can imagine for this name, but have been unable to locate Jeremiah (Jerry) and Alice, though I'm sure they lived past 1920. Does anyone know anything about this couple? Their daughter Margaret/Marguerite married in New Orleans to Peter Paul Englade. Thank you for any information or leads to information.
