Samuel & Rachel Awbrey, VA & KY, 1770-1840

Since Awbrey is often spelled Aubrey, I am posting to both forums. I am looking for evidence of the marriage of Revolutionary soldier Samuel Awbrey of Loudoun Co., VA (later of Washington Co., KY and Hardin Co., KY) to Rachel??. I am also looking for evidence relating to their children. I am descended from Weltha J. and George Awbrey of Hardin Co., KY. I have visited their gravesites and also found the gravesite of their son Craven, who is my gg-grandfather. His son George F. is my g-grandfather and his son Sam P., my g-great uncle. I have this part of the family fairly well-documented. What I don't have is any real proof that George of Hardin Co. is actually a son of Samuel Awbrey of Loudoun Co. (son of Thomas and Jemima Awbrey). I have copies of tax lists which I found in Washington Co., KY, some of which show Samuel with George, Francis, and Craven (presumably sons). I also have a copies two deeds of Samuel and Rachel Awbrey, one from Washington Co. and one from Loudoun Co.) but I can't find a marriage record. I've looked in the marriage index for Loudoun Co. and no Awbreys are listed for the period around the Rev. War. I have no idea where wife Rachel came from, although I've looked at the marriage indexes for surrounding counties that the DAR library has. Some websites give Rachel's name as Rachel Willett, but I haven't found anything documenting this. I did see a Rachel Tracy Willett mentioned on a parish list from a church in Washington Co., KY, but the date didn't seem correct for a wife of Samuel. One of the reasons I'm trying to document this is for an application to the DAR for my mother (a KY Awbrey) who is 87.
