The above records were in contemplation of widow, Mrs. Sarah Meadors

Henry Awbrey children and first wife

The National Society of Washington Family Descendants
Charles Hoppin's "Washington Ancestry" Vol 1(pub 1932)

On page 367 of the same book, "Mr. Henry Awbrey married in England a wife whose name, together with dates of their deaths in Virginia, have not been found.
Their children, however, are clearly recorded--Richard, John, Francis, a daughter who married Philip Maguire, and, perhaps another daughter (Alice) who married Mr.Thomas Gouldman.
John and Francis who came found this book are father and son.
Henry brother John had son name Francis.
The daughter who married was Alice who married Thomas Gouldman. Thomas and Alice were the parents of Francis Gouldman.

As for Philip Maguire marry Henry Francis daughter. Wonder if they came to Amercia and their child is the one who married Susan Meador daugther of Sarah and Orphan Thomas Meador

Mary daugther of Sarah and Orphan Thomas Meador married Francis Gouldman son of Thomas and Alice Awbrey Gouldman

So Francis Gouldman is Richard Aubrey step brother in law and his nephew

In Richard Aubrey will he mentions

"Item I give to my Brother John Meador all my wearing Cloaths that's made up as Shirts Drawers Coates breeches and one felt Hatt.

John was older then Richard as like his brother so Richard thought he was but not by blood

"Item I give to Mr. Francis Gouldman a ring of twelve shills price. This man is nephew and step brother in law

"Item I give to my Sister Maquire a ring of twelve shills price.

"Item I give to Phillip Maquire as much mixt Kersey now in the house as will make him a Coate and a new Carter Hatt in the Chest never worn.

It is know that Susanah Meador married Phillip Maquire but he talking her and his sister Frances?

"Item I give to my daughter Mary one Negro called Maria fifty pounds Ster. and four cowes and Calves to be paid her att the age of Eighteene yeares or the day of Marriage a feather bed and Furniture and my Silver Cup the money to be paid out of the Estate I give my wife.

She was not 18 or was not married when Richard died
but she so married John Meador after Richard death
John Meador first wife dead 1694 and Richard died after 1697
So John wait until she was of age then married her.
