Scrub most of my last message! Yes, I have a Matthew AHMUTY b. about 1790 married to Elizabeth GEE his 3rd wife. Alice AHMUTY gave me data for eleven children the last of whom is shown in the Census of 1850 as Eshelda(?) AHMUTY born May/Jun 1850 in NY City. This might be your Fannie? Can you give me any more details, such as names of siblings or cousins?
Matthew's line of AHMUTY starts in the Ballymahon area of the south of Co Longford. Due to lack of records in Ireland the connection of the Ballymahon AHMUTYs to the well recorded other AUCHMUTY and AHMUTY lines is unknown though Thomas Gordon AUCHMUTY writing in 1828 made a sugestion that a Dublin Thomas had a natural son and it is possible he could be the link.
