It's also nice to hear from another Aulick. I just noticed your posting from quite some time ago about your ggGrandmother Susanna Aulich. I have done a huge amount of research on OUR family and wanted to let you know what my data shows. Susanna Christianna Aulich(k) was born in 1794 in Winchester, Va. and married a Jeremiah Crampton. Beyond this, I know nothing more at this time about her children so I would greatly appreciate any information you have about your line. Concerning our Commodore John Henry, I have a huge amount of information about him including his photo. I just recently visited his gravesite in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington DC. His life was FASCINATING to say the least. I guess you know that two destroyers were named for him (DD258 and DD569) I'm still struggling as to how best to make the information I've gathered available to other Aulicks. John Henry by the way, died in 1873. Although he had I believe 6 children, unfortunately only one (John Wiley) lived longer than John Henry. Anything you can share about Susanna's descendants (your ancestors), I would greatly appreciate.
