Yes indeed - Rebecca and Edward Marson are my great-great grandparents. I have their wedding certificate but it only says that they are both "of age". However, Rebecca's father is Thomas and he is listed as "farmer" I also have the prints on Marson in the 1841 and 1851 Census and we only found 1 Rebecca, born in Quarndon (not far from Duffield) and one Thomas who seems to be a labourer. Think she is the right one, although she is about 5 years older than Edward. Yes, and the Edward Marson christened in 1825 is he as well. Have not managed to trace his date of birth as yet. There are many more Marsons that Aults in the area. The link with Jos. Ault (clockmaker) may be that she was a niece or some relative. We actually had a grandfather clock at home with the name Ault on it, until my brother and I put a football through it!
