Thanks for the information. It does help.

I looked up the original file that I received from my IN source and found that she gives no source for Dannyís name. Itís not probably that she has more information now.
I looked at that 1880 census for Shelby County IL and note that your William D. is only 6 years old. I canít conceive of him returning to IN when the family migrated to NE, though you didnít say when that migration occurred. My intuition tells me he either died or just kept going West. He should appear in a later census if the latter is the case, though I suppose youíve already tried that.

There is a lady who lives in Lincoln NE (or did a few years ago) who has done a lot of research on the Ault families in that area. She is the source for some of the information on the family of Josepheus Ault. Iíve never communicated with her, and have no contact information, but do have her name. If you should want that name youíll need to contact me directly as I donít feel free to post it here.

I gather youíre having as much trouble finding your ancestors as I. My motherís side of the family is a blur, and that blur is what Iím trying to clear up.
