Family knowledge tells us that Mary had a husband named James. And then we also have records indicating she was married to Stephen. We think that she may have been with both--but are trying to find a trail to confirm.
William, Mary's son grew up with his uncle John. William's marriage license even states his father was Stephen--a conflict in family knowledge. Also William was 9 months old during the 1850 census and Stephen is listed as the head of household. Stephen is not listed with Mary during the 1860 census--probably died before then. So Mary could have married/or lived with James after the 1860 census and that is where the family knowledge comes in with James. Or not. Don't know when James came in the picture. Am told he was from Cork, Ireland.
Can you provide sources to help with documenting the great info you provided for my database. Thanks so much!!!!
